My Birthday

Well....I'm officially a year older! This past Monday (nov. 27th) was my 28th birthday. It kinda sucks having a birthday so close to Thanksgiving because you never really feel like you are having your "special" day. However....since Mike and I have been together things have changed. He always seen to make my birthday extra special for me and I really appreciate that.

This year he surprised me with a trip to Corpus Christi. We left Wharton on Saturday morning and returned home on Monday morning. We stayed two nights at the Omni Hotel right there on the water. My husband knows me very well.....he knows I LOVE staying at hotels....I LOVE relaxing while at hotels....and I LOVE getting room service while at hotels! =) And that's exactly what I got to do for my birthday.

We arrived in Corpus around 12:30pm and got checked in to our hotel. Then he surprised me with a one hour massage at the spa. The massage was soooo relaxing. When I got back to the room I was so relaxed that I just wanted to "take it easy"......so that's what we did the rest of the day. We ordered room service and watched movies all day. =)

The next day we got up and went out to eat for lunch and then he took me shopping for some new clothes. After that we headed back to the room and relaxed some more! lol Once again we order room service and called it a night. Well....that is until midnight when he decided to surprise me with a birthday cake and flowers! He's such a sweetheart....he sang me happy birthday and we ate some cake together. It was wonderful!!

The next day we headed back to Wharton because we both had to work that day. I thought for sure he didn't have anything else planned since he had already done sooooo much...but I was wrong. After I got off of work he surprised me with another one hour massage! Talk about feeling good! lol After that we had dinner with my mom at Los Cucos....and then Mike surprised me with staying the night at the Tee-Pee Motel that just opened! It was really neat there and we had a great time.

Mike really spolied me rotten for my birthday....as he does every year. I am soooooo thankful that God brought such a wonderful man into my life. He has such a good heart and he always takes care of me. Mike.....thanks for such a wonderul birthday...and thanks for all the wonderful memories! =)
