And two months later.....
Wow....it's been awhile. Life has been very busy and I have really neglected this blog! I have a little time to myself right now....so hopefully I can catch everyone up on our lives!
For starters...I finally started working with Mike on October 9th. Our first project as a husband and wife team is located in our hometown of Wharton....lol...big ol town of Wharton should I say! It's actually been really nice being at home for a change. Well...since we are on the go all the time and don't have an actual house....I guess staying at my mom's is the closest thing to something called "home" right now. We are both enjoying being around to help our parents out...and we both know that once this project us over....it my be awhile before we will be back in the area....since you never know where the next project could be. Anyways...as far as the job goes.... I am catching on pretty well....at least that's what my husband tells me. For those of you who don't know.....we are currently doing mineral research out of the courthouse. Here's the thing....I know how to do the research and get all the information we need....BUT...I am still having a hard time learning how to read the documents. Once I get all the lingo down it should be smooth sailing....as Mike says...."It just takes time Shell" .....so true, so true. Thank God I have a patient teacher. =)
Now on to great news for some of my friends and family......
Let's see.....my sister Stacey and Kevin are expecting a baby! They are very excited and we are all very excited for them. I believe she is due some time in early July. =) I'm sure Stephanie is excited about finally becoming an Aunt for the first time...lol.
My friend Melody and her husband Jesse are also expecting their first baby! And I am very excited for them also. I know that they will be wonderful parents!
My friend Christina just had her third baby boy! He was named Eric Michael Garcia. She has three boys now...and she says she is DONE! lol Anyways...congrats to her and her husband Chris.
Now...as far as I know....that's all the baby news for right now! =) However one more of my friends has some wonderful news to share with me. My friend Jenny is getting married on December 16th. I am really excited for her....but also very sad that I won't be able to attend the wedding because we will be out of town that weekend! =( But regardless....I will be thinking about her on her special day!
Now an update on nieces and nephews....
Over the past couple of months we have gotten to spend some time with our nieces and nephews and I have been able to take some pictures. Recently we were able to go see one of Aaron's football games and it was a really great game and Aaron played very well. I can't believe how big Aaron is getting...he is starting to make me feel old! Also....our nephew Marcos (Cokey) was initiated into the National Jr. Honor society....which means he was able to maintain an overall average of 93 or higher. Congrats Cokey...we are very proud of you! Here our some pictures to enjoy!!
